Little Egypt Math Week!

**Due to COVID-19 Math Field Day 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled.**

Math Field Day | March 17, 2020
Each Spring, the Mathematics Department sponsors a mathematics contest, called Math Field Day, for regional high school students. Schools from the southern part of Illinois, ranging from Edwardsville to Massac County, as well as a few schools from Missouri and Kentucky participate.

The second annual SIU MFD Workshops will be from 1-1:30 p.m. for any student or teacher attending Math Field Day.  Exciting opportunities are offered as they participate in hands-on workshops with Professors and Graduate Students in Mathematics, Engineering, Medicine, STEM, Geology, Psychology, Plant Biology and others. From the Egg Drop Challenge to Reimaging the Paper Crane Game to The Eagle Has Landed (Workshop-Titles), students will be amazed while gaining knowledge in their fields of interest.

Workshop titles for 2020 will be posted soon!
